Clearway Health Names Rishi Seth COO to Scale Specialty Pharmacy Operations

Clearway Health has appointed healthcare executive Rishi Seth as chief operating officer, adding a veteran of Millennium Physician Group, Optum Health and Privia Health as the company scales specialty pharmacy operations for hospital and health system partners.
Seth joins Clearway Health’s executive leadership team with responsibility for building scalable operations that can support the company’s continued expansion. His mandate centers on helping hospital and health systems increase access to specialty medications while improving patient experience and operational performance.
The appointment strengthens Clearway’s operating leadership as specialty pharmacy becomes an increasingly important capability for health systems managing complex medications and patient populations. Clearway works with hospitals and health systems to plan, build and operate specialty pharmacy programs, combining operational infrastructure, clinical resources and technology.
Seth brings 20 years of healthcare experience spanning operations, integration and enterprise transformation. Most recently, he served as senior vice president of integration at Millennium Physician Group, one of the nation’s largest independent physician groups.
At Millennium, Seth led the integration of new provider groups and strategic partnerships, experience that required coordinating growth across multiple parts of the healthcare organization. His work included operational integration and optimization across clinical operations, finance, technology, human resources and revenue cycle functions.
Before Millennium, Seth held senior leadership roles at Optum Health and Privia Health, where his responsibilities included building scalable multidisciplinary operations. Across those positions, he focused on strengthening operating performance while developing organizational infrastructure capable of supporting continued growth.
That background aligns with the challenge Clearway faces as it expands its specialty pharmacy model across additional health systems. Specialty pharmacy programs require coordination among clinicians, pharmacists, technology platforms, medication access processes and administrative functions, making operational execution an important component of both patient experience and financial performance.

He said Clearway’s work helping hospitals and health systems improve operational performance and expand access to affordable medications, particularly for underserved patients, was a key attraction to the role.
Clearway CEO Brandon Newman, PharmD, MMHC, CSP, said Seth’s experience expanding and optimizing healthcare operations will support the company as it works with health system partners to broaden medication access and patient care.
Clearway’s specialty pharmacy model is rooted in work that began at Boston Medical Center Health System, where its team addressed medication access and the management of complex therapies for vulnerable patient populations. The company has since extended that experience to partnerships with other hospitals and health systems.
Its services include building specialty pharmacy infrastructure, improving operating workflows, implementing clinical programs and recruiting pharmacists and patient liaisons who can be embedded into clinical teams. Clearway also provides proprietary software, supports drug access and accreditation processes, and works with health systems on specialty pharmacy economics.
The model reflects a broader effort by hospitals and health systems to develop more specialty pharmacy capabilities within their own organizations. Doing so can give providers greater involvement in the medication journey while creating opportunities to improve access, coordinate care and retain revenue associated with increasingly complex therapies.
For Clearway, Seth’s appointment places additional emphasis on the operational infrastructure required to scale that model without sacrificing consistency across health system partnerships. His integration experience is particularly relevant as the company balances expansion with the clinical, technological and administrative requirements of specialty pharmacy operations.
As COO, Seth will be responsible for translating Clearway’s growth into repeatable operating processes across its expanding partner base. The appointment gives the company an executive experienced in integrating complex healthcare organizations as it seeks to build greater scale in the hospital and health system specialty pharmacy market.
